Selgate Corp’s healthcare unit expands network in Indonesia

JAKARTA, Sept 4 — Selgate Corp’s healthcare unit, Selgate Healthcare, is expanding its network and health services in Indonesia through a collaboration with the country’s healthcare startup, Prixa.

The companies have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) recently to provide treatment experience packages for patients, allowing them to consult remotely with doctors from both countries.

Selgate Healthcare executive director Noor Hisham Mohd Ghouth said this initiative will strengthen the companies’ competitiveness by maximising their respective competencies and comparative advantages to complement each other’s strategic work.

Under the MoU, Prixa will assist patients who require medical treatment in Malaysia by arranging plane tickets, accommodation, and any necessary doctor appointments and medical treatment.

“We hope that this partnership will lead to the extension of other services with Prixa for Selgate subsidiaries,” he said in a joint statement today.

Selgate Healthcare under currently operates 2,400 laboratories and clinics and 249 hospitals in Malaysia.

With the signing, Prixa is also pioneering a full scope of seamless international medical experiences for corporations and individuals, which are accessible via teleconsultation and on-site medical services internationally.

Patients can be reciprocally referred to either Selgate’s healthcare provider network in Malaysia or Prixa’s healthcare provider network in Indonesia.

Prixa chief operating officer Handry Mulyo said this partnership will transform an individual’s medical experience by being more patient-centric, simple to access and affordable.

Founded in 2019, Prixa has partnered with a network of over 1,000 healthcare providers across Indonesia, including hospitals, clinics and laboratories.

Selgate Corp is a subsidiary of Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).
