SHAH ALAM, Sept 16 — Selangor athlete M Gogulnath bagged the second gold medal for the state at the 20th Malaysia Games (Sukma 2022) in the men’s karate kumite under 75 kilogramme competition today.
The silver medal goes to V Logen, who represents the Federal Territories, while Vincent Garfelo Anak Disen from Sarawak and P Karthigeyan of Johor took bronze respectively.
Yesterday, wushu athlete Mandy Cebelle Chen contributed the first gold medal for the Selangor contingents.
Selangor has set a target to bring home 40 gold medals, 40 silver medals and 45 bronze medals in Sukma 2022, which runs from today until September 24.
A total of 490 athletes and 75 coaches are taking part in 30 sporting events.
