Sukma 2022: Selangor pétanque athletes score double gold

SHAH ALAM, Sept 21 — The state garnered more gold in the 20th Malaysian Games (Sukma), this time twice, as two athletes made it to the top.

The medals were won by Muhammad Fairuz Muhammad Said and Nur Adilah Ramli during the event held at the Arena Petanque KL in Taman Shamelin Perkasa.

“The Selangor pétanque team contributed gold medals via the joint efforts of Muhammad Fairuz Muhammad Said dan Nur Adilah Ramli in the mixed doubles event which took place at the Arena Petanque Kuala Lumpur.

“Thank you and congratulations,” said the Selangor State Sports Council on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari also congratulated the duo in a Facebook post.

“Congratulations to Muhammad Fairuz dan Nur Adilah in winning gold for Selangor in the mixed doubles event for pétanque, at the Malaysian Games (Sukma) 2022.

“Thank you for this victory!” he said.
