SUBANG JAYA, Oct 13 — A total of 100 small traders under the purview of the Subang Jaya City Council (MBPJ) participated in the Micro Entrepreneurs Development Training programme today.
The programme held in collaboration with Selangor Platform (Plats), provided exposure to small traders on the importance of shifting to a digital platform.
Its mayor Datuk Johary Anuar said the programme also assisted the participants to shift to cashless payment methods, aligned with the state government’s goal to achieve smart state status by 2025.
“Aside from that, the traders were provided with an online order platform, including tips to make their social media more effective,” he said at a press conference after launching the programme at the MBSJ headquarters, here.
Other than Plats, the programme was also supported by the Hijrah Selangor Foundation, Maybank Berhad, OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, Mynuu, Retort Lab, Best Marketing and Distributors Sdn Bhd.
Also included are Tech Hunter Global Sdn Bhd, Selangor Internet Data, Mesin Kira and Perbadanan Hal Ehwal Bekas Angkatan Tentera Selangor.
“I would like to thank all partners who took part in the programme and hopefully, this effort would help smoothen the digitalisation process among traders,” said Johary.
The programme ran from 8am until 1pm and was divided into six sessions including basic digitalisation in business, introduction to Plats, business licence ownership process, adaptation to the cashless payment transaction and social media management.
