Anwar wants struggle for rights, welfare of women to continue

By Suhaila Shahrul Annuar

SHAH ALAM, Oct 16 — Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his wish for the coalition’s women’s wing to continue in their efforts of fighting for the rights and welfare of women.

He said Pakatan women must break through the barrier of injustice formed by avaricious leaders, and inspire confidence in the fact that their rights cannot simply be taken away and wasted just like that.

“Build the spirit of independence among women and raise their dignity. Our consistent Pakatan struggle will never betray the people’s trust, including that of women.

“There is no point in struggling if we cannot implement this. We will bring about change and make sure our candidates win stylishly, as the relevance of Pakatan’s reforms is upholding justice for all,” Anwar said.

He was speaking at the launch of Pakatan’s Iltizam & Jentera Wanita for the 15th general election (GE15), at Dewan Raja Muda Musa yesterday.
