Initiatives in accelerating projects under RS-1 to be announced in state budget

SEPANG, Oct 30 — Initiatives to make various projects under the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) successful will be announced during the 2023 Selangor Budget on November 25

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the initiatives would include the Sabak Bernam Area Development Agenda (Sabda), the Southern Selangor Integrated Development Region (Idriss) and the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG).

“A special committee was created to speed up the development process and will be announced in the state budget.

“These initiatives are so that all projects can be done promptly and quickly, thus attracting investments,” he said at a press conference after launching Rumah Idaman Melur, here yesterday.

On October 15, in conjunction with the Jelajah Selangor Penyayang (JSP) roadshow in Sabak Bernam, Amiruddin launched Sabda, a project involving initial and private sectors amounting to RM1.9 billion, which can generate an annual revenue of RM246 million in addition to providing 4,000 job opportunities.

During the JSP roadshow held yesterday and today, Amirudin is expected to launch Idriss, a development project around Sepang and Kuala Langat with an allocation of RM1 trillion.
