Digital system able to improve local authority services

By Diana Abd Wahab

KLANG, Nov 30 — The Digital Empowerment Strategic Plan is able to improve the quality of services by the local authorities in Selangor.

Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu) director-general Datuk Seri Yusof Ismail said the system provides access to government information and services across all agencies.

“Through this, citizens can completely access government services online at any time and anywhere.

“Approximately 457 of the 538 services offered by Selangor’s local authorities now use digital service systems, which creates a friendly and easy service network for users,” he said when officiating the plan yesterday.

Yusof added the plan is a blueprint which outlines the mission, vision and strategic direction of Selangor local authorities’ digitisation initiative, for a period of five years until 2025.

Through the initiative, all 12 local authorities are able to save costs and improve internal expertise, through guidance and consultation services provided by Mampu.
