SHAH ALAM, Nov 19 — Social media users and voters were left amused as several voters were spotted at voting stations for the 15th general election, dressed in colourful or unusual clothing, such as superheroes or for a wedding.
A voter for the Segambut parliamentary constituency, Muhamad Harris Nasril, was dressed up as Spiderman when at the SK Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah polling centre.
Muhamad Harris also wore a tanjak and kain pelikat, which proved to be eye-catching as other voters sought to take selfies with him.
Similarly at the Paya Besar parliamentary seat in Pahang, one voter was spotted dressed as the Marvel character War Machine, while queuing up to cast their ballot.
One woman, Jamie Chai, was spotted at the Subang parliamentary seat’s voting centre in SMK USJ 12, clad in her wedding dress.
The unusual sight was spotted by many, and was also shared by Subang Jaya state assemblyman Michelle Ng on her social media.
“To the bride in SMK USJ 12 — thank you for voting despite it being your big day! Wishing you and your husband a happy married life together!” she said.
Chai also shared her experience on Facebook, stating she is voting for the future.
“Doing my part! Thank you everyone for your selflessness and letting me vote first,” she said.
