GE15: Kapar Hospital to be completed in four years — Harapan candidate

By Abdul Rahim Sabri

SHAH ALAM, Nov 13 — A new hospital in Kapar equipped with hostel facilities is expected to be completed in four years, said Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid.

The Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) candidate for the Kapar parliamentary seat in the ongoing 15th general election (GE15) said he has been informed the hospital’s developer, IJM Land, will begin constructing the hospital on November 22 in Meru.

“The groundbreaking works have already taken place but the official ceremony have yet to be organised,” he said, adding the hospital will cost an estimated RM830 million.

The proposal for the hospital was first raised by Abdullah Sani in the Dewan Rakyat, which was subsequently approved by the then-Harapan Federal administration in 2019.

The incumbent Kapar MP said two other projects should also be continued, for the sake of the constituency’s residents.

This includes a proposed dedicated route for heavy vehicles out of Port Klang, to avoid disruption to light vehicle users on federal roads.

Abdullah Sani said he will also propose for the construction of a public library in Pekan Kapar, which has yet to commence.

“These are the suggestions I will include in Harapan’s Manifesto, as what the people want,” he said.

Abdullah Sani will contest in a seven-cornered fight in GE15, with voters heading to the ballot box on November 19.
