SHAH ALAM, Nov 11 — Two boats were prepared by Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for the Sungai Buloh parliamentary seat in the ongoing 15th general election (GE15) Datuk R Ramanan, should flooding occur.
He also drew upon his engineering experience to identify the cause of flash floods in Kampung Melayu Subang.
“We have investigated the cause of yesterday’s flood, with the solution to be announced tomorrow night. My experience as an engineer has made it easier for me to identify the cause of the floods.
“Tomorrow night I will also announce several preparations to help flood victims. I can say for certain these will not be temporary solutions,” Ramanan said.
He was speaking to SelangorKini after spending time with residents at the Subang Pit Stop Restaurant in Kampung Melayu Subang, earlier today.
Yesterday saw 120 houses in Kampung Melayu Subang in U6 affected by flash floods, after heavy rain since 3.30pm.
However, no victims were moved to the temporary relief centres (PPS), as the nearly half-metre high water receded several hours later.
Several other locations around Shah Alam and Klang were similarly affected, with hundreds evacuated to PPS.
