Hijrah provides funding for agribusinesses up to RM50,000

SHAH ALAM, Nov 28 — The i-Agro financing scheme, which grants cash up to RM50,000, is open to applications from agricultural and farming entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses.

According to the Hijrah Selangor Foundation (Hijrah), application for the scheme could be done via

mikrokredit.selangor.gov.my/ or contact one of the 19 branch locations’ financing officers.

“Hijrah offers financing of up to RM50,000 under the i-Agro scheme to help the entrepreneurs expand their agro business,” it said on Facebook.

Other terms and conditions to sign-up for the programme are:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Selangor citizen or have resided in the state for over five years
  • Voter in Selangor
  • Aged between 18 and 65 years old
  • Business already in operation
  • Posses a valid business license or permit

From January to September, a total of 5,795 entrepreneurs have benefitted from seven financing schemes under Hijrah, amounting to RM92.37 million.

Other than i-Agro, Hijrah also offers i-Bisnes, Zero to Hero, Niaga Darul Ehsan, Go Digital, i-Lestari and i-Bermusim.
