MBI distributes provisions, bedding sets at six evacuation centres

SHAH ALAM, Nov 17 — Selangor Menteri Besar (Incorporated) or MBI has provided early assistance to flood victims at six temporary relief centres (PPS).

Its corporate social responsibility head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said all PPS’ are opened today, including at Camelia Heights, Masjid Putra Heights, Balai MPKK Kampung Jalan Kebun, Dewan Masjid Kampung Johan Setia, Dewan Gemilang Dengkil, and Dewan Orang Ramai Dengkil.

“MBI has supplied mineral water, biscuits, instant noodles, bread and bedding sets. We will work with relevant parties to coordinate distributions,” he said in a statement today.

Earlier, the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) said in a Facebook that a total of 1,255 (338 families) flood victims in Selangor were placed in PPS’, as of 12 noon today.

The seven districts affected are Sabak Bernam, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Langat, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang.
