MBSA provides four water pumps at three locations

By Azian Aziz

SHAH ALAM, Nov 4 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has provided four units of water pumps in three locations within the city as part of its preparation to face floods.

The locations are Taman Sri Muda in Section 25 (two units) and one unit each at MBSA Pump Station in Section 13 and Taman Mesra, Section U1.

“Placing the water pumps at the said area is one of the early steps by MBSA to help reduce the risk of flood due to heavy rains,” the local council said in a statement.

The local council added that they have also agreed to the proposal of the flood mitigation project as included in the Shah Alam Flood Action Plan (Sasud).

Four projects will begin soon, beginning with pump station upgrade works at Section 13 and infrastructure-related works at Section U1.

“For the second project, it involves the construction of a water pump house in Persiaran Aman and infrastructure-related works at Taman Sri Muda in Section 2, while the third project would focus on constructing the pump house at Jalan Saksama 25/29 and Jalan Hikmat 25/35.

“The fourth project is related to infrastructure works in Section 25 as well as repairing and upgrading sewerage system works at Kampung Bukit Naga in Section 32,” it said.
