Over 1,000 flood victims still at relief centres in four states

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 — A total of 1,251 flood victims are still housed at relief centres in four states as of 8 pm.

In Perak, a total of 778 people from 221 families remain in nine relief centres, while some roads in the Kerian and Perak Tengah districts were reported passable by light vehicles.

In Selangor, the Secretariat of the State Disaster Management Committee reported that the number of flood victims had decreased to 400 compared to 558 this morning, and were placed in nine relief centres, namely four in Kuala Selangor and five in Kuala Langat.

The number of flood victims in Johor also declined to 62 people housed at three relief centres.

In Melaka, 11 people from four families in Kampung Pulau and Kampung Belimbing were still at a relief centre in Durian Tunggal, down from 24 people this morning.
