Plan your trips well, MB tells voters

By Zareef Muzammil

GOMBAK, Nov 18 — Voters who are returning back to their hometown to vote in the 15th general election (GE15) should plan their trip accordingly to prevent any untoward incidents, says Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

The Menteri Besar has also encouraged voters outside of Selangor to start their journey early since today has been declared a public holiday.

“Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), Selangor has announced that tomorrow (today) is a public holiday. Therefore, I would like to advise the voters to begin their journey early and not be reckless (while driving).

“Make sure you get enough rest and do vote for Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) to save the country,” he said when met during the dialogue session with the Selangor Hijrah Foundation entrepreneurs in Gombak, here yesterday.

On November 9, Amirudin announced that the state government would gazette November 18 (Friday) as a public holiday to ease the voters outside of Selangor to return back to their hometowns for the election.

Meanwhile, the Harapan candidate for the Gombak parliamentary seat thanked the coalition machinery who had worked hard from the beginning to ensure their success in winning the seat.

“Day by day, the campaign is becoming more intense and I have advised the machinery that we have to work until the end to ensure victory.

“I believe that we have to reach as many voters as we can because there is a huge increase in the number of voters this time,” he said.
