SHAH ALAM, Nov 30 — Visitors to the 2022 Selangor International Book Fair (SIBF) will have the opportunity to meet international distributors and publishers over an 11-day period, starting tomorrow.
Bloomsbury and Wiley from the United Kingdom as well as Brand Media from Indonesia are among the publishers specially brought in by the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) for book lovers for the inaugural international event.
Taking place at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Centre in Section 13, SIBF will also feature local distributors and publishers.
The fair offers a talent corner that allows for writers with completed book manuscripts to find suitable publishers.
The manuscripts will be evaluated by PPAS librarians to be recommended to publishers for consideration, before actual publishing takes place.
