BANGI, Nov 14 — Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) candidate for Bangi parliamentary seat Syahredzan Johan is confident of being the most preferred candidate among the other seven contesting for the seat in the coming 15th general election (GE15)

The 39-year-old lawyer, who is also DAP’s Social Media Bureau chairman, said he is not intimidated by the background of the other candidates as he has several advantages over them as well.

“I may not be the youngest candidate but I am at the right age as I am not too old to be jaded. Although I haven’t been involved in politics that long, I have been doing community work for some time through the Bar Council and others.

“I am also the perfect candidate as I always choose the middle ground, which is the moderate way. Meaning that although I am Malay, I am still close enough to understand and listens to the voice of other races.

“Also I have an advantage in Selangor as it is governed by Harapan, which makes it easier for me to cooperate with local council members and state representatives,” he said when met after visiting the morning market at Kampung Baru Batu 11, Cheras, on November 12.

The native of Selangor is also the former chairman of the Constitutional Law Committee and the Young Lawyers Committee at the Bar Council and a Bachelor of Law graduate from Cardiff University, United Kingdom.

Syahredzan is to contest in an eight-cornered fight against candidates from Barisan Nasional, Perikatan Nasional, Pejuang, Parti Rakyat Malaysia, and three independent candidates.
