SUNGAI BESAR, Nov 12 — Pakatan Harapan’s (Harapan) candidate for the Sungai Besar parliamentary seat Saipolyazan M Yusop has introduced the Prihatin Sungai Besar mobile app which serves as a platform for local people to keep track of their leader’s performances.

He said the initiative was one of the 10 offers made by Harapan to Sungai Besar folks to help them monitor the leaders in the area including the MP, state assemblyman, head of villages as well as agencies.

“We want to be transparent, the locals could monitor the leaders’ performance through the apps.

“If any of the leaders, including myself, did not perform to expectations, the people would know because it would be displayed on the app,” he told SelangorKini at Parit 2, Sungai Panjang here, yesterday.

Saipolyazan said the app was launched on Wednesday (November 9) and could be accessed by now.

“However, several improvements will take place from time to time to ensure seamless access for people in Sungai Besar,” he said.

Meanwhile, Saipolyazan is also aware of migration issues among the youngsters in Sungai Besar to seek better job opportunities.

He said among the moves that will be taken to overcome the issue includes developing a potential industrial chain in the area.

“There are a few aspects that we have to tackle first, such as the industrial chain because Sungai Besar has a lot of potential including in the tourism and educational sectors.

“Therefore, we have included this matter in the 10 Harapan’s offer for people in Sungai Besar and hopefully there will be more job opportunities for local people,” he added.
