Young voters urged to vote, choose a caring candidate

PETALING, Nov 17 — Young voters in Sungai Buloh have been urged to carry out their responsibility to the country by casting their votes in the ongoing 15th general election (GE15) this Saturday.

Pakatan Harapan’s (Harapan) candidate for the Sungai Buloh parliamentary seat Datuk R. Ramanan said that based on his observation during the campaigning period, the youth group lacks interest in voting.

“As of now, we saw that many youngsters have yet to decide which party and whom they are going to vote for. Some of them have not decided if they want to vote or not.

“This problem does not occur only to Harapan but also to other candidates in Sungai Buloh. Voting is compulsory and crucial for the country’s future,” he told SelangorKini.

Ramanan also advised the young voters to choose the right leader to ensure the people’s life is well taken care of.

Ramanan was nominated as the candidate for Sungai Buloh and will go against caretaker Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin from Barisan Nasional and Mohd Ghazali Md Hamin from Perikatan Nasional.

Also contesting are Mohd Akmal Mohd Yusof (Pejuang), Ahmad Jufliz Faiza (Parti Rakyat Malaysia) and two independent candidates, Syed Abdul Razak Syed Long Alsagoff and Nurhaslinda Basri.
