KLANG, Dec 5 — A total of 1,400 individuals have managed to be employed through the Jelajah Jaminan Kerja (JobCare) programme in Selangor throughout this year.
State executive councillor for community welfare V Ganabatirau said following the encouraging achievement, the roadshow will be continued next year.
“The roadshow is expected to kickstart in February next year and will visit nine districts throughout the state.
“Similar to this year’s event, companies who are hiring will be invited to take part in the event,” he said after launching the Majlis Penyampaian Danasiswa Pekerjaan Selangor yesterday.
The JobCare programme is an initiative of the Selangor government to help low, medium and high-skilled people who had lost their income due to the pandemic to secure jobs.
The programme in collaboration with the Social Security Organisation (Socso) was joined by 15 local companies and offered nearly 3,000 job opportunities in various sectors.
