Bukit Malawati to be temporarily closed due to slope repair works

By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, Dec 26 — One of the tourist attractions in Kuala Selangor, Bukit Malawati will be temporarily closed beginning tomorrow until further notice.

The Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) said that the closure was required to allow for slope repair work to ensure the safety of visitors.

“For the safety of its visitors, Bukit Malawati will be temporarily closed for tram services and related recreational activities,” the local council said on Facebook.

Bukit Malawati has become the centre of attraction for local and foreign visitors when visiting Kuala Selangor due to its historical heritage such as the Selangor Royal Mausoleum, execution rock, seven wells, poisoned well and others.

Previously, MPKS president Rahilah Rahmat informed that the historical location was included in upgrading works under the Rancangan Kawasan Khas Bandar Malawati.
