SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 — The Poverty Eradication Blueprint Assistance Programme, which has been improved this year, has helped in ensuring more people get a better quality of life.

State executive councillor for socioeconomic development V Ganabatirau said among the improvements made to the programme includes increasing the ceiling limit of assistance to RM10,000 aside from broadening the eligibility to individuals with an income of below RM3,000.

He said the state government also actively promotes various incentives included in the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang programme.

“More planning will be executed next year, aiming to make Selangor citizens be familiar with the programme.

“I am proud to learn that there are some recipients who manage to generate their income up to RM20,000 per month while several others are now capable of expanding their businesses by opening more branches and hiring more employees,” he said during the Selangor Entrepreneurs Gathering Event, here yesterday.

Running for two days until today, the programme was held in conjunction with the Selangor Entrepreneurs Carnival 2022 and was officiated by state executive councillor for entrepreneurs development Rodziah Ismail.

Over 100 small traders took part in the programme which also featured other exciting activities including a hot air balloon show, face painting and a toys booth.

The programme was held in collaboration with Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad and Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated).
