Over 140 locations affected by floods, landslides; highest number in Terengganu

SHAH ALAM, Dec 16 — About 141 locations are being affected by floods and landslides following the northeast monsoon phenomenon which hit until 2pm this afternoon.

On Twitter, the Public Works Department (JKR) announced the damage involved 53 Federal roads and 88 state roads.

A total of 118 locations have been affected by floods, followed by collapsed slopes (15 locations), collapsed roads (one). sunken roads (four) as well as damaged and collapsed bridges (three).

The states most affected are Terengganu with 88 locations, Kelantan (57), Pahang (five), Johor (three), Negeri Sembilan and Kedah (four each) as well as Selangor and Perak (one each).
