SHAH ALAM, Dec 2 — The Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) has proposed that state assemblymen provide buses to transport interested residents to the ongoing Selangor International Book Fair 2022.

Its director Datin Paduka Mastura Muhamad said PPAS has also suggested they donate RM2,000 to purchase vouchers, to encourage people to buy books.

“So far we received good responses from several state assemblymen,” she said at the MBSA Convention Center yesterday.

The inaugural international-level event sees the participation of book industry representatives from eight countries, including the United Kingdom, Turkey, North Macedonia, South Korea, Egypt, Indonesia, China and Singapore.

The representatives are here as part of the International Fellows Program and book fair.

Meanwhile, over 100 local exhibitors are also participating in SIBF 2022, held at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Center (MBSA).
