Selangor civil servants to receive special fiscal aid today

SHAH ALAM, Dec 29 — Civil servants in Selangor will receive Special Financial Assistance (BKK) of one month’ salary, which will be paid today, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the BKK is a gesture of thanks and commitment to civil servants, who have been the backbone of the state’s progress over the years.

InsyaAllah, tomorrow the Special Financial Assistance will be given as a sign of appreciation and commitment to civil servants who are the backbone of Selangor’s progress.

“May this benefit and help the country’s economic cycle,” he said on Twitter yesterday.

During the tabling of the 2023 Selangor Budget on November 25, Amirudin said the BKK will be two and a half months this year, which includes today’s bonus, as well as another half month in February 2023.

The other month’s bonus was paid shortly before the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations earlier this year.

He added this year’s second incentive, with at least RM1,000, is set to cost RM37.63 million.

The third BKK, or a minimum of RM1,000, will be paid to ease civil servants’ burden in covering for their children’s school preparations for the March 2023 entry.

“To thank the excellent service and commitment of civil servants in ensuring the state government remain efficient and effective, I am happy to announce the BKK to all qualified members.

“This includes those who are state government service members, whose salaries are paid for by the Federal government,” Amirudin said during the tabling.
