Terengganu, Kelantan flood victims exceed 65,000, nearly 600 PPS opened

SHAH ALAM, Dec 20 — Flood victims in Terengganu and Kelantan have increased to 65,621 people following the northeast monsoon phenomenon, as of 4pm this afternoon.

The National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) through an infographic said a total of 596 temporary relief centres (PPS) have been opened in the two states.

In Kelantan, the flood victims stand at 26,513 people from 7,460 families with 135 PPS in operation.

Whereas in Terengganu, approximately 39,108 people from 10,725 families have been situated in 462 PPS.

Three other states were also affected by floods, namely Pahang with 873 victims, Perak (54) and Johor (53).
