SHAH ALAM, Jan 18 — The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) has issued 15 compounds to individuals who were found littering in public places around Klang city centre.
The local council said the irresponsible behaviour was mostly done by foreign citizens within the area.
“The compounds involve littering offences such as cigarette butts, paper, chilli residue and fruit seeds in public places under the Collecting, Expulsion and Disposal Bylaw (MPK) 2007,” it said on Facebook.
Meanwhile, MPK added that four other compounds involving domestic garbage dumping were issued in Taman Sentosa.
The compounds were issued under the Section 47(1)(a) of Road, Drain and Building Act 1974 for throwing domestic garbage in public areas.
