SHAH ALAM, Jan 25 — The pedestrian and recreational trails at Sungai Penchala in Section 14, Petaling Jaya, will be opened to the public next month.

Bukit Gasing state assemblyman R Rajiv said the 700 metres path beside Sungai Penchala is pedestrian and cyclist-friendly.

“The upgrade work is in the final stages and we anticipate that the route could be used by the public next month.

“What is more important is that the pathway connects Section 19 and its commercial area to Asia Jaya LRT station,” he said when contacted.

Rajiv added that the 700 metres trail starts at Millenium Square, Section 14 and ends in front of the Toyota building in Section 19, Petaling Jaya.

“Hopefully the route could provide nearby communities an option to exercise along the river route,” he said.
