Persiaran Bandar Raya in Shah Alam closed from Jan 24-29

SHAH ALAM, Jan 21 — Persiaran Bandar Raya in Shah Alam will be partially closed from January 24 until 29 to make way for the state-level Chinese New Year celebration preparation.

Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Public Relations and Corporate Department head Shahrin Ahmad said road users are advised to use alternative roads following the closure.

“We seek cooperation from road users to comply with MBSA’s directive that will be issued from time to time to avoid congestion.

The Selangor government will be hosting the state-level Chinese New Year celebration on January 28 at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam.

The event, which runs from 3.30pm until 10.30pm, is expected to draw some 8,000 to 10,000 visitors.

Themed “Musim Bunga Kembali ke Khatulistiwa” (Spring Returns to the Equator), the event will be giving out 2,000 digital ‘ang pow’ (money packets) worth a total of RM10,000 to lucky visitors.

Aside from the money packets, visitors also stand a chance to take part in lucky draws offering electrical items worth RM3,000.
