SELAYANG, Jan 17 — The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) will ensure that all state constituencies have the opportunity to hold the Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat (JER) roadshow every week.

PKPS Project manager Nurulshima Md Anuar said her team would also consider the applications of several state constituencies’ coordinators who want JER roadshows to be held three times a week in their areas.

“Every day we hold nine JER roadshows in nine state constituencies in turn according to demand. If there is a vacancy today, we will fulfil their request,” she said when met at JER Puteri Central Park, Bandar Tasik Puteri, Kuang, here today.

Meanwhile, regarding the sale of Ehsan brand dry goods produced by PKPS, Nurulshima said that the sale of the goods will be made available at selected locations only and not all JER roadshows

Commenting on the JER roadshow at Puteri Central Park today, she said 500 chickens, 300 trays of eggs, 300 five-kilogrammes (kg) rice , 300 meat packs, 300 fish packs and 150 25kg cooking oil were sold out.

“Eggs were sold out in less than an hour after the roadshow opened at 10am, while others sold out after 12 noon,” she said while stating that the number of those who attended was around 500 people.

The JER roadshow offers the sale of standard chicken (RM10 per piece), B grade chicken eggs (RM10 per tray), fresh solid meat (RM10 per pack), 25kg cooking oil (RM25), 5kg rice (RM10) and fish (RM6 per pack).

The sale, which successfully benefited more than two million Selangor residents through a series of roadshows in 693 locations around 56 state constituencies, was previously continued until March this year.
