PETALING, Jan 9 — The state government plans to create educational grants for youth golfers who want to continue their studies relating to the sport abroad.

The Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Haris Kasim said the allocation of grants amounting to RM100,000 per person is to give players the opportunity to hone their talents in the sport.

“We agree to create a grant for any young player (children of Selangor) who wants to continue golf-related studies abroad.

“Selangor accepts this challenge so that we can produce more players who have potential for the country,” he said when met at the 2023 Selangor International Junior Golf Championship at Seri Selangor Golf Club, here yesterday.
