GOMBAK, Jan 16 — The Sungai Tua state constituency spends approximately RM300,000 to help various parties in the area.

Its representative Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the assistance focuses on aspects of education, health, community and small projects supervised by certain companies.

“We provide assistance to school children, ill health individuals as well as hawker associations and companies that carry out small projects such as installing signs and repairing pipes.

“This donation amounts to RM40,000, but if the donation of hearses is added on, the total value could be between RM200,000 to RM300,000,” he said during the aid handover ceremony at the Dewan Terbuka Batu Caves, here today.

Earlier, Amirudin launched a mini library at the Masjid Jamiatus Solahiah, Kampung Sungai Tua Baharu, Batu Caves in conjunction with a visit to the Gombak parliament constituency.

He then joined Parti Keadilan Rakyat activists and hundreds of Tiong Hua community people for afternoon tea at the Dewan Jawatankuasa Penduduk Zon 1, Hulu Kelang.
