Tanjung Sepat rep preps free ambulance to bring residents to hospital

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

SHAH ALAM, Jan 13 — Tanjung Sepat state assemblyman Borhan Aman Shah has readied free ambulance services, for the ease and convenience of the state constituency’s residents to go to the hospital for medical treatment.

He said the service is specifically for residents who can ill-afford to pay for ambulance services.

Borhan noted the fees charged for ambulance services can become fairly costly, depending on the distance, like from Banting to Batu Laut which can reach up to RM600.

“With this service, we can help ease the population’s financial burdens. This service has actually been around since 2021, and is not limited to those who want to go to the hospital but also those who want to go home but require an ambulance to do so.

“The ambulance is managed by 10 volunteers from the Tanjung Sepat Community Service Centre, who each possess a special certificate after having undergone the necessary course,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.

Borhan, who is also a state executive councillor, added that so far the public reception over the ambulance has been very encouraging, with many residents satisfied as it is now easier to obtain ambulance services.

“We received from residents living outside of Tanjung Sepat asking for this service, but unfortunately had to decline since they do not live here.

“For those who require ambulance services, they can contact the community service centre at any time,” he said.

Tanjong Sepat residents may call 03-3148 1029 / 011-2351 3004 / 018-465 8184 for the free ambulance services.
