SHAH ALAM, Jan 25 — The public is invited to recycle their items in exchange for cash as part of the Trash for Cash initiative, held at Lek Seng Kopitiam in Section 19, Petaling Jaya, on Saturday (January 28).

Bukit Gasing state assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran said those interested can bring recyclable goods such as steel, paper and glass and exchange them for money.

“To calculate the price, the items brought in would be first weighed.

“Bring any recyclables, such as paper, newspapers, steel cans, or glass bottles, and exchange them for cash,” he told SelangorKini when contacted today.

Rajiv said the programme organised by Bukit Gasing community service centre will be held in collaboration with Trashcycle Malaysia Sdn Bhd, from 10am to 12pm.

“We plan to organise the programme periodically should it receive positive feedback from the public,” he added.
