SHAH ALAM, Jan 28 — Selangor will continue its business-to-business (B2B) relationship with Japan for another year as part of its plans to draw Japanese tourists, says Hee Loy Sian.
The state executive councillor for tourism said that the tourism agencies in Japan will help promote attractive holiday packages through the said collaboration.
“We had previously collaborated with Japan since the country’s border opened last year, and now we are continuing it.
“Through this cooperation, Japan will help promote Selangor and vice versa. We foresee that this effort would be able to attract more Japanese tourists to visit Selangor,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.
On January 8, Hee led the Selangor delegation to Osaka, Japan, with the aim of improving business collaboration between the state’s tourism industry players and Japan.
Tourism Selangor had previously revealed that Japanese tourists remained the third-highest number of tourists visiting Selangor at the end of last year.
The state agency said that the highest number of tourists visiting the state are from China, followed by Singapore.
