Affordable sales, Jualan Rahmah to be coordinated, lightening resident’s burden

PETALING JAYA, Feb 4 — The Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat (JER) 2.0 roadshow that is currently underway will be coordinated with Jualan Rahmah to ease the burden of more residents.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said through the plan, locations for affordable sales of essential goods will be increased, thus making it easier for the public to get what they need.

“The state government is responding to the call of Jualan Rahmah. We are trying to coordinate the schedule (to organise the sales) with JER.

“If it is different, we will separate the sales so that more places and more residents can benefit,” he said when met at a ceremony to mingle with scholarship recipients from the Selangor Government-Linked Companies (GLC) and Selangor Government Statutory Body Children’s Education Fund yesterday.

The Jualan Rahmah programme was initiated by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) that offers essential goods at affordable prices.

Meanwhile, the Jelajah Ehsan Tour is an initiative of the state government through the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) that runs for three months starting January 16 to ease the population’s spending burden.

The programme involves an allocation of up to RM15 million and offers standard chicken at RM10 each, B grade chicken eggs (RM10 per tray), fresh solid meat (RM10 per pack), 5kg cooking oil (RM25), 5kg rice (RM10) and fish (RM6 per pack).
