SHAH ALAM, Feb 18 — Civil servants in Selangor are reminded to consistently prioritise the needs of the people while maintaining their professionalism and integrity keeping with the Malaysia Madani concept.

Deputy Secretary of the State Government (Development) Dato’ Johary Anuar said that the matter should be transformed into several improvements in management systems, development and work procedures that would benefit the people.

“The spirit and commitment of civil servants is the key foundation for translating the implementation of governmental and state policies through the provision of efficient services to the public.

“Therefore, to move in that direction, it is necessary to focus on four main thrusts, namely rebuilding the economy, ensuring people’s well-being, reforming democratic institutions and developing a trustworthy administration,” he said when launching the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) 2022 Outstanding Service Award (APC) Ceremony at the Shah Alam Convention Center, here last night.

Also present was Subang Jaya deputy mayor Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali.

Earlier, Johary also presented awards to 117 APC recipients while acknowledging 19 retirees who served the local council for more than 25 years.

The ceremony also presented three additional awards, namely the Mayor’s Special Award, the Special Innovation Award and the Special Sports Award, which had driven MSBJ to the state, national and international levels.
