SHAH ALAM, Feb 2 — The Selangor Youth Community (SAY) continues in its search for young entrepreneurs in the latest iteration of the SAY ASPIRE programme, which is expected to begin in March.

Its manager Abdullah Muaz Mohd Norman said up to 30 export-oriented Micro, Small-and-Medium Industries (MSMI) entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in the one-month programme.

At the end of the period, 10 entrepreneurs will be selected for the final round to make their respective business export plans and will have the opportunity to present the plans before the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.

“All entrepreneurs who are prepared to explore the global market are invited to participate in the programme. To qualify, the applicant’s company must operate in Selangor, with company directors aged between 18 to 40 years of age, and must neither be declared bankrupt or blacklisted.

“Among the benefits received are export training courses, working networks with government agencies such as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), and the Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (EXIM Bank Malaysia),” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.

Those who are interested may visit www.entrepreneurshipselangor.com.my/sayaspire for further information. Applications will be closed on February 12.

The programme is a collaboration between SAY and state executive councillor or entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail and is aimed at assisting youths with the potential to develop products and services in reaching the global market, through guidance courses and export strategy training.

First organised in 2018 via the youth body, founded by Tengku Amir, SAY ASPIRE includes financial training, marketing strategy, and strategic planning to enter foreign markets.
