PUTRAJAYA, Feb 18 — The public has been urged to refer to nearby health facilities to get treatment for normal and non-emergency cases to help reduce overcrowding at the Emergency Department of the Cyberjaya Hospital.
Following the issue involving the hospital that allegedly refuse to receive patients on February 10, Selangor Health Director Datuk Dr Sha’ari Ngadiman said in a statement today, Cyberjaya Hospital’s Emergency Department gives priority to emergency and critical cases.
He said the services offered at the hospital, which started its operations on November 11 last year, include emergency services, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general medicine, general surgery, pathology, radiology and anaesthesiology, adding that the Pharmacy Department has also started providing medicines according to the services provided.
“The public can get services at Cyberjaya Hospital through the specialist clinics and Emergency Department,” he said.
Previously, a Twitter user known as adlisabatrisyia claimed that Cyberjaya Hospital refused to accept patients.
Dr Sha’ari said feedback and suggestions to improve the delivery of services at the hospital are also welcomed.
