KLANG, Feb 18 — The Jelajah Kita Selangor Penyayang (JKSP) roadshow officially kickstarts today at Pangsapuri Seri Peranta, here, and will continue in eight districts until March.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said that the programme, which is conducted at a smaller scale compared to the previous Jelajah Selangor Penyayang (JSP) event last year, will continue to serve as a platform to inform the public of the various incentives offered by the state government.

He said the one-day event from 9am to 5pm also offers several other initiatives, such as the state’s free health screening Selangor Saring and the affordable sales programme Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat.

“We had previously organised JSP in nine districts, which started in Hulu Langat and ended in Hulu Selangor at the beginning of last December. This time around, we proceed with JKSP, beginning in Klang and focusing on locations that we had not visited.

“You will not only be listening to talks but there will be sharing of information, especially on the 44 programmes under Iltizam Selangor Penyayang. The public is welcome to participate in the programmes such as Selangor Saring,” he said at the event, here today.

Amirudin said the programme is also a show of commitment by the state government in listening to the plight of the local population and ensuring that no group is left behind, in keeping with the Selangor Penyayang tagline.

“The second phase of JKSP will be held after Aidilfitri in all the districts along with the open house,” he said.

The initiative, which began in June of last year, offers a variety of activities, such as free health checks, sales of affordable goods, exhibitions, and sports events.

A total of RM350 million is allocated for the roadshow, which was renamed from Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR), to benefit the people of Selangor.
