SHAH ALAM, Feb 1 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari receives a courtesy visit from Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek at the Selangor State Secretariat Building, here today.

Lasting almost an hour, the meeting at the Menteri Besar’s Office was also attended by representatives of the Education Department of Selangor.

Amirudin said the visit was to strengthen relations with the Ministry of Education in addition to increasing cooperation in various state-run programmes.

“We discussed how to strengthen some state-run education-related programmes such as the Selangor People’s Tuition Programme and Yayasan Selangor’s Bitara programme.

“I also raised some issues such as the need to build schools in high-density areas and applications for school infrastructure repairs,” he said when met.

Amirudin also hopes that every discussion can be brought to the Federal level, especially ahead of the presentation of the 2023 Budget on February 24.
