SHAH ALAM, March 23 — The Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) is offering up to RM20,000 in lucky draw prizes during the Festival Usahawan Gempak event, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Beginning on April 7, the Invest Selangor Bhd-owned subsidiary company said the prizes include motorcycles, televisions, and electronic devices.
“We will ensure you go through a worthwhile experience at Festival Usahawan Gempak. Come on down to Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam from April 7 to April 9, starting at 10pm until late at night,” it said on Facebook yesterday.
Last week, state executive councillors for small-and-medium industries Dato’ Teng Chang Khim said Selangor will organise Festival Usahawan Gempak, which will offer a variety of daily necessities at attractive discounts.
He added the festival, a Smart Raya Selangor 2023 initiative, will bring some 150 local entrepreneurs together for three days until April 9 in Stadium Malawati.
Teng said he is confident the Sidec-operated festival will be able to attract up to 25,000 visitors during its run, with a total of RM40,000 in shopping vouchers made available for visitors to redeem.
