KLANG, March 10 — GM Klang invites government agencies nationwide to work with it to introduce local products produced by their small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Its managing director Datuk Lim Seng Kok said the wholesale centre always opens space for cooperation with government agencies in providing a platform to regional trade relations.

“As an example, the success of joint ventures with the Indonesia Toy Association (AMI) which is placed at the Indonesian Pavilion here can be used as a benchmark.

“GM Klang emphasises the promotion of local products as a step to increase the exchange of commercial products. Apart from Sabah, among the states that market their products here are Melaka and several others,” he said, when met after the opening ceremony of GM Klang Authentic Sabah Mart which was officiated by Sabah Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Phoong Jin Zhe today.

Lim said that in accordance with the goal of ‘GM Klang’s wholesale centre is for all SMEs in Malaysia’, he will continue to maintain GM Klang as the choice of foreign importers.

“This wholesale centre is one of the gateways to attract more foreign importers who are in Malaysia to source for interesting and potential products in Asean,” he said.
