Job carnival to return in May with 30,000 employment opportunities

SHAH ALAM, March 31 — The Selangor Mega Job Carnival will be held again in mid-May, offering up to 30,000 potential jobs for interested seekers, said state executive councillor for human capital development Mohd Khairuddin Othman.

He said the carnival will take place over the course of two days, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (Maeps), with 200 companies and employers participating.

“The jobs on offer are spread across a diverse spectrum, which includes the fields of tourism, manufacturing, as well as hoteling and hospitality. There will also be career opportunities for disabled persons.

“The precise date will be announced in the near future, but all individuals seeking employment can prepare their résumé for use during the carnival,” Mohd Khairuddin said when contacted.

He added the last iteration of the carnival was met with a favourable public response, with over 1,000 job seekers successfully finding employment in various fields.

The Selangor Mega Job Carnival 2022, which took place from December 10 to December 11 at Maeps, similarly offered up to 30,000 potential jobs from 300 participating companies across various fields.

The companies included Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional, Pos Malaysia, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Puncak Niaga Holdings, Starbucks, Genting Malaysia, as well as state government agencies and subsidiary companies.
