King attends reunion dinner with RMAS batchmates

KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah attended a reunion dinner yesterday with former fellow cadets at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), where His Majesty studied between 1978 and 1979.

The Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah was also in attendance.

According to Istana Negara’s Facebook page, Al-Sultan Abdullah was greeted upon arrival by 13 of his former college mates from the SMC 19 intake.

They all arrived from the United Kingdom earlier yesterday for a visit to Malaysia at the King’s invitation.

“At the event, His Majesty mingled with his batchmates and recalled the sweet memories during their training days.

“His Majesty’s presence at the reunion dinner also reflects the close friendship, strong bond and brotherhood that have been forged over 40 years ago,” it said.

The RMAS in London in London is a world-leading military training institution that provides a variety of leadership development training for army officers.
