King conveys 90th anniversary wishes to Malaysian Army

KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al- Mustafa Billah Shah has conveyed greetings to all members of the Malaysian Army, veterans and those who have served the military branch on its 90th anniversary today.

According to a post on the Istana Negara official Facebook page, His Majesty expressed utmost appreciation to members of the Army for protecting the country’s sovereignty and security and for their sacrifices in helping the people.

“His Majesty also expressed his deepest appreciation to the entire families of the Army members who were killed while on duty and in protecting the country’s sovereignty and security.

“His Majesty prays that their souls be blessed by Allah SWT and placed among the pious,” Istana Negara said.

As the supreme commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces, Al-Sultan Abdullah commended and expressed deep appreciation for the services and sacrifices made by the present and former army personnel in protecting the country’s sovereignty and security.

“May the Malaysian Army continues to be a respected force on the international stage,” Istana Negara said.
