Matta Fair: Selangor Pavillion to promote experiential tourism, interactive activities

SHAH ALAM, March 15 — Tourism Selangor is featuring the “Pusing Selangor Dulu Travel Trail” theme at the upcoming Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair 2023, which will kick off on March 17.

The tourism agency said that the Selangor Pavillion at the travel fair will showcase experiential mock-up travelling experience through interactive activities such as a ride with the safari truck, chocolate making demonstration, kayak and raft exhibition.

Other activities featured include a trampoline demonstration, food testing, hydroponic set exhibition, sushi-making demonstration and paddy field demonstration.

“Tourism Selangor’s involvement in Matta Fair will further promote the attractions in Selangor through its domestic tourism promotional campaign, ‘Nak Bercuti? Pusing Selangor Dulu!’ with its strategic partner Gamuda Land (GL Play).

“Realising the impact of potential tourism products to be brought abroad and promoted domestically, Tourism Selangor will bring ‘Pusing Selangor Dulu Travel Trail’ as the theme for Matta Fair 2023,” it said in a statement.

Tourism Selangor said some of the key tourism products include the Chocolate Museum, Eastin Hotel, Jumpstreet Asia, Cyberview Resort & Spa, Go Selangor, Park Inn by Radisson Putrajaya, and Wet World Shah Alam

Other participants are MAEPS Serdang (MARDI Corporation Sdn Bhd), Farm in the City, Selangor Fruit Valley, G2G Animal Garden, Persatuan Kemajuan Pelancongan Sekinchan and Sky Mirror, as well as Kuala Langat and Hulu Selangor Municipal Councils.

With over 150,000 visitors expected at the Matta Fair this year, Tourism Selangor is offering visitors a chance to grab tourism vouchers worth up to RM 2,000 through the Pavilion Selangor TikTok contest.

The Matta Fair 2023 will run from March 17 to 19 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibitions Centre (Mitec), Kuala Lumpur.

Admission to the fair is free and the event is open from 10am-9pm.
