MBSA fetes excellent staff, encouraging them to give the best service

SHAH ALAM, March 22 — Some 122 personnel of the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) were honoured with the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) award for 2022.

Each of the recipients received a RM1,000 cash prize, a certificate of appreciation, as well as a RM400 Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) premium savings certificate.

An additional 24 individuals were presented with the Anugerah Khas Perkhidmatan award, taking home an appreciation certificate, a RM400 premium savings certificate.

Two recipients of the Anugerah Khas Datuk Bandar award received a certificate, a plaque, and RM4,000 in cash.

Shah Alam Mayor Nor Fuad Abdul Hamid congratulated the recipients and expressed hope their successes will drive them to continue serving in excellence.

“As civil servants, we cannot rest on our laurels but must remain dynamic in dealing with changes to our surroundings.

“Therefore, with these awards, I hope the recipients can augment their commitment and diligently carry out the tasks entrusted to them, as well as provide the best service quality to the community,” he said.

Nor Fuad was speaking at the APC 2022 ceremony, held at the MBSA Convention Center yesterday.

The mayor encouraged his subordinates to constantly improve their skills and knowledge, behave with integrity, and be sensitive and open-minded in accepting rapid changes.

“As such, character building is a necessity to ensure each staff member can adapt to new work procedures, via the addition of knowledge, skills improvement, and upholding virtue and high integrity in the course of their duties.

“Rest assured, with such continuous self-improvement it will bring true benefit to us, including to our work. So we must improve in terms of systems, rules and work processes, or results,” he said.
