PUCHONG, March 9 — Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) adds 10 more Ramadan bazaar locations this year, making it a total of 26 areas.

Its deputy mayor Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali said the addition was to offer more space and business opportunities to micro-entrepreneurs to increase their income.

“The addition of locations was made after MBSJ received high demand from traders who want to do business during Ramadan.

“Hence, with the addition (of bazaars) we can provide space to the urban communities to buy iftar food at the bazaar locations available,” he said when met after officiating the MBSJ Ramadan Bazaar Carnival and briefing at the MBSJ Multipurpose Hall, Puchong Indah, here today.

Mohd Zulkurnain said various trainings were held throughout the three days of the carnival, including briefings on compliance with food handling, recycling practices and waste management.

“This platform is also used to introduce the terms of doing business in Ramadan bazaars, including standard operating procedures (SOP) and disclosures about cashless transactions,” he said.
