SHAH ALAM, March 22 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has been recognised by the Public Service Innovation Asia 2023 awards when it took place from March 16 to March 18 as part of the 22th Malaysia Technology Expo.
The Archy group under its Building and Architecture Department were commended by the Macau Association of Inventors and Innovators for its portable Rainwater Collection System (SPAH), commonly known as pocket water.
“The group was also awarded with a silver medal, while the Smart PSP group under the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning Department garnered silver for their mobile recycling bin product Sangkar Pandu Lalu,” the council said in a statement yesterday.
MPAJ’s departments also featured two more groups, the Legal Department’s Lex Legis and the Corporate and Information Technology Department’s Cyberwave, which won bronze medals.
Lex Legis was awarded for its eIP system which manages investigation papers, while Cyberwave presented its Komuniti Pintar (iComm) app, which provides direct service to customers.
The Public Service Innovation Asia 2023 award is a platform to recognise the achievements of public service agencies in the development of innovation on a global level.
The award was presented by the Local Government Development Ministry’s Deputy Secretary-General (Planning and Sustainable Environment) Datuk Saidatu Akhma Hassan.
